Cane Bay senior Kris Copeland, making his first start at quarterback this season, rushed for 300 yards and five touchdowns in leading the Cobras to a 38-31 victory over Hanahan on Friday night.

Copeland, a running back who replaced injured starting quarterback RJ Roderick, is The Post and Courier’s Lowcountry high school football player of the week.

Corey Fields Baptist Hill – 357 yards passing, 3 TD; 86 yards rushing, 2 TD

Richard Bailey, Baptist Hill – 7 receptions, 174 yards, 2 TD

Jay Burnell,  Baptist Hill – 120 yards rushing, 2 TD; 6 receptions, 140 yards, TD

Sam Hartman, Oceanside Collegiate – 310 yards passing, 2 TD
